Concerned by the disastrous consequences the production, the transport and the use of single use plastic bottles has on our environment, L’Eau-Thentique Transport Inc. put together a project to cease all purchases and distribution of these bottles in all their services and events.
Water bottles are one of the most often use one-use-only plastic trash use all around the world.
Less than 50% of these bottles are being retrieved to be recycled and less than 7% of those are actually recycled; the rest of them end up in our landfill, in our oceans and in our seaways and are causing health problems to humans, to animals and to our marine wildlife.
According to the United Nations (UN) for the environment: more than 8 million metric tonnes of plastic are dumped in our oceans every year.
